Elder Beck & Salleh stand in the baptism font they built since there was no chapel in Highgate. Prior to this, all baptism were performed at the beach. Elder Beck had done most of the work on the font - he built pools in Florida prior to his mission.

Elder Hansen and Elder Salleh tried cooking on some outdoor stoves. It didn't turn out too bad. Rice & peas and chicken stew - pretty standard Jamaican fare. The family we cooked for did all their cooking outdoors since they didn't have electricity or gas.

Elder Hansen (on the left) and Elder Salleh baptized most of the members of this family. Marva Williams (next to Hansen) served a mission about a year after this picture was taken. Karel Williams (beside Salleh) was planning on visiting the Atlanta temple in a few years. Elder Salleh lost track of Karel but always hoped she made it.

Elder Hansen & Salleh taught Sean (on the left) and he got baptized in this river in May Pen by a member of the May Pen branch.

Sister Weiler and President Weiler in the mission home send Marva Williams on her mission. Elder Salleh had baptized her a year earlier and happened to be in Kingston while she was there.
