Cly stuffed half a can of ginger ale with garlic, thyme, and bay leaves and carved an onion to fit the top of the chicken grilling stand.
On went the chicken!
Cly was relieved that the chicken fit in the grill and allowed the cover to close.
Since this was his first attempt at cooking a whole chicken on the grill, Cly used the digital meat thermometer.
This is how it looked after 45 minutes. Cly decided to turn the center burner off at this point.
Another 20 minutes or so and it was all done! It was surprisingly easy and the bird was really tender and tasty.
